Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Hsinchu, Taiwan, ASPEED Technology is a leading fabless IC design company and a pioneer in innovative SoC solutions. ASPEED focuses on niche markets with a core emphasis on Cloud & Enterprise Solutions. Our extensive portfolio features Baseboard Management Controllers (BMC), Bridge ICs, I/O Expanders, and PRoT SoCs. Committed to R&D excellence and rapid response to customer needs, ASPEED acquired Broadcom’s Emulex Pilot™ server management business in 2016. In 2018, the company further expanded its technological reach into the imaging sector with the launch of the Cupola360 panoramic image processor and software solutions.
To further sharpen its competitive edge through professional specialization, ASPEED completed a strategic spin-off in January 2026. The manufacturing and operations (including assets, liabilities, and business activities) of the Cupola360 panoramic image processing and AVoIP video extension business were transferred from the Smart AV business to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Cupola360 Inc.
ASPEED’s commitment to operational excellence and R&D has garnered prestigious international acclaim. Since 2014, the company has been recognized by Forbes as one of "Asia's 200 Best Under a Billion" for ten consecutive years. In 2022 and 2023, ASPEED was recognized as one of the 'Taiwan Best-in-Class 100' by the Taiwan Institute of Directors and the Corporate Development Research Center. In 2024 and 2025, ASPEED was honored by Extel (formerly Institutional Investor) as the "Most Honored Company" in Asia, alongside awards for "Best Asia Executive Team " and "Best CEO" in the semiconductor sector. Furthermore, in 2025, ASPEED received the " Best Financially Managed Semiconductor Company" from the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA).
